Secrets

$24.99
SKU: 002257

4–8 Players, 15-35 Minutes, Age: 10+

In Secrets, the second co-design between Eric Lang and Bruno Faidutti, players are assigned a hidden team — the CIA or KGB — and are trying to collect the most points for their side. In addition, one or two players are secretly anti-establishment Hippies who are working for nobody. Their goal is to fight the Man and have the fewest points.

On your turn, offer one of two randomly drawn agent cards to another player. These cards are worth points and have varying good or bad abilities. That player either accepts the agent, in which case they score it, or they refuse, in which case the card returns to you, and you score it. The game ends when a player has five cards, after which the teams are revealed; the team with the highest combined score wins, unless a Hippie has the single lowest score, in which case they win.

The interactions between the character cards are the spice of the game, but since the abilities are discoverable during play, the game can be taught in three minutes.

Royal Wedding

$34.99
SKU: 002256

2–8 Players, 20–30 Minutes, Age: 8+

In the almost resplendent kingdom of the goblins, everything is ready for the nuptials of Princess Koncita. Well, almost ready... The preparations enrage the princess as everything seems to be going wrong for her. Koncita has a difficult character, and all around her hordes of terrified servants bustle about, attempting to satisfy her every tantrum, ahem, desire.

But even in the chaos of these preparations, while trying to dodge the possessions the princess flings at them (have you ever seen a flying chamber pot?!), the true nature of the goblins comes to the fore: Their infamous greed leads them to seek some small amount of vengeance not only against the princess, but against each other, too. Thus, in the excitement of the preparations, amongst the shoves and forfeits they have to put up with, maybe they will even manage to pinch a little treasure for themselves.

Royal Wedding is a fun-filled game for 2-8 disrespectful goblin servants!

Personally Incorrect

$29.99
SKU: 002253

5–10 Players, 20–30 Minutes, Age: 18+

Personally Incorrect is the appropriately inappropriate party game that will make you hate what you think and love what you play.

Playing Personally Incorrect is a way to connect, break the ice, and interact. Simply put, Personally Incorrect makes things personal and lets players have some real fun, where they don't have to worry about being judged or offending anyone. Personally Incorrect does this by directing the questions at the individuals playing the game instead of just offering a fill in the blank question

The player with the most 'Question' cards at the end of the 10th round is the winner. Players begin the game with 10 'Answer' cards, and receive a new one each turn. Every turn a player will read a 'Question' card aloud submitting another player's name into the "Insert Name" quotations. The rest of the players will simultaneously select answers and submit them to the player who read the question.

The active player now shuffles all of the answer cards together and reveals them 1 at a time. All of the other players present quickly vote for the most appropriately inappropriate answer. It is important to vote quickly as the last vote will not count that way players don't base their vote on another player's vote. In the event of a tie, the active player/reader is allowed to cast their vote in order to break the tie. The player whose answer received the most votes now claims the question card, ending the round.

At the end of 10 rounds the player with the most question cards is the winner.

SKU: 002251

9–47 Players, 40 Minutes, Age: 10+

The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow: The Pact consists of The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow base game as well as the three existing expansions for that game as of 2014: New MoonCharacters, and The Village.

Each player is secretly assigned a role - Werewolf, Ordinary Townsfolk, or special character such as The Sheriff, The Hunter, the Witch, the Little Girl, The Fortune Teller and so on... There is also a Moderator player who controls the flow of the game. The game alternates between night and day phases. At night, the Werewolves secretly choose a Villager to kill. During the day, the Villager who was killed is revealed and is out of the game. The remaining Villagers (normal and special villagers alike) then deliberate and vote on a player they suspect is a Werewolf, helped (or hindered) by the clues the special characters add to the general deliberation. Kingdomino

The game uses tiles with two sections, similar to Dominoes. Each turn, each player will select a new domino to connect to their existing kingdom, making sure at least one of its sides connects to a matching terrain type already in play. The order of who picks first depends on which tile was previously chosen, with better tiles forcing players to pick later in the next round. The game ends when each player has completed a 5x5 grid (or failed to do so), and points are counted based on number of connecting tiles and valuable crown symbols.

IOTA

$8.99
SKU: 246D

2–4 Players, 30 Minutes, Age: 8+

IOTA is a card game in which players score points by adding cards to a grid. The deck consists of 64 regular cards and two wild cards; each of the 64 cards contains three properties – color, shape and number – with each property coming in four different types. The two wild cards are identical and can be played in place of any other specific single card. They can also be recycled by a player who can replace a wild card with a card that works in that position.

To set up the game, each player is dealt a hand of four cards and one card – the "starter" – is placed face-up on the table. The remaining cards form a draw deck.

On a turn you can add 1-4 cards connected to the grid established by the starter card. All cards must be placed in the same line. A line consists of 2, 3 or 4 cards in a row in which each individual property (color, shape and number) is either the same on each card or different on each card. You can also choose to pass and place some, none or all of your cards on the bottom of the draw pile and take new ones.

Maximum line length is four cards. Cards needn't be placed right next to each other as long as they are in the same line, and some spaces on the grid will be impossible to fill.

To score a turn, add up the face values of cards in lines either created or extended on that turn. If any of those cards are part of two lines, they're counted twice. If on a turn a player completes a line that is four cards long, all points for the entire turn are doubled. Double again for any additional four card lines created. Double again if you play all four cards on a single turn. A four-card line is called a lot.

The game ends when the draw pile is depleted and one player plays his last card. Double points for that turn. The game is over. High score wins.

Hi Lo Flip

$16.99
SKU: 118

2–6 Players, 15 Minutes, Age: 8+

In Hi Lo Flip, you want to ditch all the cards in your hand, while also keeping others from playing so that you can collect the discard pile for yourself.

Each round in the game, you start with a hand of seven cards from a deck numbered 1-100. The HI-LO chip is in the center of the table showing one side of it. On a turn, you play a card from your hand onto the discard pile that is either higher or lower (depending on the HI-LO chip) than the current top card. If you can't play, then flip the chip. If it lands on the opposite side, play a card, then end your turn; if not, then draw a card, playing it immediately, if possible. If you still can't play, then whoever played most recently claims all of the cards in the discard pile, then you play whatever card you want.

If you play a card that ends with a 1, then the next player draws a card and skips their turn. If the card ends in a 2, then you must play again.

When someone runs out of cards, they collect the discard pile, then players tally their points for cards collected, with cards ending in 0 being worth 10 points and all other cards 1 point. The player who went out scores a bonus of 10 points. Complete multiple rounds until a player scores more than 75 points, with whoever has the highest score at that point winning the game.

Minecraft: Builders & Biomes Farmer's Market Expansion

$19.99
SKU: 4005556268696

2–4 Players, 30–60 Minutes, Age: 10+

Minecraft: Builders & Biomes – Farmer's Market Expansion adds a new element to Minecraft: Builders & Biomes by adding a new way to win: Growing vegetables.

Vegetable patch tiles are shuffled among the building and monster tiles and laid out with everything else at the start of the game. If a player builds a vegetable patch, they can grow vegetables in the form of small wooden cubes on it — and once they have enough vegetables, they can buy unique items with powerful abilities from the villagers at the market, such as the Crafting Table that can transform any stone into an emerald, i.e., a wild. With the Minecart with Chest, you can always take three blocks instead of two. The Beacon allows a player three actions each turn instead of two, and the Enchanting Table grants 20 experience points at game's end.

Items are revealed in the market at the start of the game, as well as after the first and second scorings, and they're first come, first serve, so grow your crops quickly to make the best use of them.

Minecraft: Builders & Biomes

$49.99
SKU: 4005556261321

2–4 Players, 30–60 Minutes, Age: 10+

As in the original Minecraft digital game, in Minecraft: Builders & Biomes players explore the Overworld, build structures, and mine resources, earning points for structures and the largest connected biomes of forest, desert, mountain, or snowy tundra spaces on their player boards.

Familiar foes like Endermen, Creepers, and other mobs also appear throughout the game, and they need to be defeated using weapons collected from the board. Defeating mobs earn players points in addition to granting additional awards. Game scoring occurs as the resource cube's layers are depleted. As soon as the third layer runs out, the adventure comes to an end, and the builder with the most points wins.

In more detail, on a turn you take two different actions from the following possibilities:

• Collect two blocks: At the start of the game, you set up a 4x4x4 cube of building blocks with 16 wood, 14 sand, 12 stone, 10 obsidian, and 12 emerald being placed together at random. When you collect a block, the top face and at least two other sides must be revealed.

• Move: Your character starts in the center of a 4x4 grid of tile stacks, with each stack holding four tiles. Weapon tiles are placed at the end of each column and row. Move 0-2 spaces between stacks, then reveal all adjacent tiles that are face down.

• Build: Discard blocks from your personal supply to match the building requirements on a tile next to your character. Place this tile on your personal 3x3 building board.

• Fight a mob: Choose a mob adjacent to your character, then reveal three tiles from your weapon stack, which starts with a stone sword, a wooden sword, and three poisonous potatoes. Tally the number of hearts revealed; if this sum is at least as large as the number of hearts on the mob, you defeat it. Remove it from the board, and place it next to your personal building board. Mobs might grant you an endgame scoring bonus, immediate points, or a one-shot bonus action.

• Collect a weapon: If your character is next to a weapon tile at the edge of the playing grid, you can shuffle it into your weapon stack.

Scoring takes place three times during the game, specifically after the final block is removed from the first, second, and third level of the building block cube. In the first round, you choose one of the four biomes (forest, desert, mountains, or snowy tundra) and score for the largest connected area of this biome on your personal building board. The board comes pre-printed with biome spaces, and as you place buildings on this board, you can alter the biome of a space. In the second round, you choose one of three materials (wood, sand, stone, or obsidian) and score for the largest connected group of structures on your personal building board that are made of this material. In the third round, you score for the largest contiguous group of structures (decoration, dwelling, animal house, or bridge) of your choice on your board. After scoring in the third round, tally bonus points from the mobs you've collected.
